Dr. Armando Ponte is a general and cosmetic dentist originally from Toronto, Canada. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the prestigious Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University in London, Ontario. During his academic training, Dr. Ponte served as President of the International Alpha Omega Dental Society (London chapter) and was recognized on the Dean’s Honor List for academic excellence.
Now practicing in sunny South Florida, Dr. Ponte is committed to providing care that supports dentistry beyond the smile. To do this, he has completed over 450 hours of advanced courses beyond dental school, with a strong focus on holistic dentistry, airway health, modern orthodontics, and advanced surgical care.His extensive training allows him to approach dentistry with a deeper understanding of how oral health is influenced by breathing and the four pillars of health: sleep, nutrition, exercise, and stress management.
Dr. Ponte believes dentistry should be thoughtful, collaborative, and personalized. His holistic approach involves working alongside other healthcare disciplines such as sleep medicine, allergy & ENT specialists, myofunctional therapy, nutrition, and mindfulness-based practices to help address underlying contributors to oral and systemic concerns, rather than simply treating symptoms.
Patient comfort is central to Dr. Ponte’s philosophy of care. Known for his calm and reassuring demeanor, he takes time to listen, educate, and guide patients through their treatment options, creating a relaxed and supportive environment, especially for those who experience dental anxiety.
Dr. Ponte provides comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages, with a clinical focus on airway-friendly orthodontics and Invisalign® therapy, digital smile design, composite and porcelain veneers, dental implants, and minimally invasive restorative dentistry. Having restored and enhanced hundreds of smiles & delivering thousands of veneers, he understands how well-designed dentistry can positively impact confidence, function, and quality of life.
Dr. Ponte is a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), the International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine (IABDM), and serves as an Ambassador for The Breathe Institute in California. He remains actively engaged in continuing education to ensure patients receive care grounded in modern science, holistic principles, and compassionate delivery.
Outside of the office, Dr. Ponte enjoys cooking, functional fitness, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
